Scrollsaw Contests
The Scrollsaw Association
of the World (SAW) sponsors a Scrollsaw Contest
at many of the Scrollsaw Picnics. The contests are
quickly becoming an important part of each event that it
is associated with. The contest is being seen as an important part of the
advancement of scrolling.
The contest at each picnic is a separate
entity from all other contests. As requests are made for
a SAW sponsored contest, the list will be provided here.
In a year when an EXPO is being
held by SAW, a two day Scrollsaw Contest is held at the
EXPO.
How to start your
own Scrollsaw Picnic
"I have always believed that
scrolling happens in the neighborhoods of America,
that's where our saws are kept and that's where we are
comfortable. We know each other and share common ideas
with friends of like interest. It was only natural
that I talk to an expert in the field of Scroll Saw
Picnics and who has had continued success in this
effort. I am, of course, speaking of David and Rhonda
Sloan. They run a mail order scrollsaw supply business
in Lebanon, Tennessee. I asked David to make a list of
