Opportunity Grant

The Opportunity Grant Program is designed to provide opportunities to expand SAW members understanding of scrolling concepts and procedures, and to promote activity within the local chapters. This grant will provide funds to Local Chapters to help bring demonstrators/speakers to your group, send a Chapter member to a scrollsaw related class, or bring demonstrators/speakers to the SAW Expo.

Chapter Member

A member of a Local Chapter attends a scrollsaw related class and returns to the Chapter and presents a program/demonstration of the material learned in the class.

Chapter

The Local Chapter hires a Guest speaker/demonstrator to give a scrollsaw related program to the entire Chapter.

SAW Expo Committee

The SAW Expo Committee hires a Guest speaker/demonstrator to give a scrollsaw related program to SAW Members at the Expo.

There is no defined list of eligible speakers or classes. Each request will be evaluated on it's own merit. A qualifying class will be scrollsaw specific, and increase a participant's understanding of scrolling concepts and procedures.  This includes classes available at a local wood working store or community college.

Plus all of the income received from the Affiliate Vendors program is being added to this fund. Or if you would like to make an additional donation to this program, you can do so when you renew your SAW membership or by clicking on the button below. All contributions to this program are 100% tax-deductible. All donations will be specifically used for this program.
