Advice
on how you can improve your scrolling can be found by
simply asking your last customer, family member, or
neighbor. The best
advice can be found by asking other scrollers.
Saw has gathered on these pages some information that has
been printed in our newsletter, some that can be found on
the internet, and some from scrollers who are willing to
share and be helpful to other scrollers. You will also
find some useful charts provided by scrollsaw industry
vendors. We are always looking for new tips and
techniques, so if you know a tip or a technique that is
not listed here, please use the form on the right to send
it to us. We will gladly post your tip on the internet and
publish it in SAW Dust.
There are always some sites and ideas that
do not fit readily into any category. The Pattern Creation
site and Translation of web sites are two of those. These
are sites that you will want to bookmark as you will find
yourself returning again and again.
Translation of web sites
We have found a service on the net
that will allow you to view any web site in a translated
version. To use this service to translate this
site, you will need to return to the Home page, click on
the language of your choosing. Once the first
page is translated, you can then navigate the site using
the navigation available at the site, and get each new
page translated as you go. For our foreign
language visitors you can get this site translated into
your choice of
 |
Spanish |
 |
French |
 |
German |
 |
Italian |
 |
Portugese |
 |
Japanese |
 |
Chinese |
 |
Taiwan - Traditional
Chinese
|
For our English speaking visitors,
you will not need this service to view this site. But,
if you find a site in a Language from the above list,
you can also use this service to get a translated
version. Click here
for the translation service.
Note: As with most translation
software, you will probably not get a 100% accurate
translation, but you should get a translation that will
allow you to comprehend most of the web site you are
viewing.
Pattern Maker
SAW has developed a Pattern Generator very similar to
Frank Swoboda's program and that is available in the
Members section of the web
site. In addition to creating a text pattern, several of the font
choices available from SAW will produce a pattern for the base of the
letters also. Directions can be found on the Pattern Generator page.
Frank Swoboda has redone his
Pattern Maker where you can enter text and create a pattern of your
text.
