Whether you are interested in Fretwork, Marquetry, or Intarsia; whether you work in wood, or other mediums; whether you design your own patterns or use available patterns; no matter what brand of scroll saw you use; no matter where in the world you are located, the Scrollsaw Association of the World is for YOU!

Special Notices

The SAW annual election period is now active. All active members should have received a Fall SAW Dust with a ballot, and the ballot is now active here on the web site. There is some confusion about the balloting...and it is our fault. When we printed the ballot, we thought there were three open seats on the BoD. We since have found out that there are only 2.

Therefore, when you vote, on the website or on paper, you can choose up to two (2) candidates (not 3 as it says on the paper ballot). If you know of a SAW member who doesn't have a computer, please share this information with him or her so they also know.

Just like in our national, state, and/or local elections, participation is very important. If we don't vote, it's hard to justify complaining about what the elected people are doing.

In addition to voting, please consider VOLUNTEERING your time and expertise in helping to "run" SAW. Since the election materials were printed, another opening on the BoD presented itself. So, we now find ourselves in need of another member. If you identify yourself to us, we can appoint you to the board. We also need volunteers who are willing (and able) to serve as our SAW BoD secretary and treasurer. It can be one person, or two persons. Let me know if you have the skills and interest to do either of these positions.

So, right now, as we begin to enter the holiday season of giving, we ask you to give of yourself through both of the "club" V's...VOTE and VOLUNTEER.

Bob King, President

Local Chapters are in place or are being founded in many areas of  the country. Members of Chapters are the enthusiastically addicted scrollers from a geographic area. All scrollers are invited to join and share their knowledge with the group. New scrollers can learn from the combined experience of the group's members. This is your opportunity to join in and explore the advantages of membership in this growing and vital Association.

Your membership will immediately give you a subscription to our quarterly newsletter, SAW Dust, and a copy of our current annual Resource Directory. These publications will enhance your scrolling, enlarge your community, and give you a valuable start to learning more about this wonderful craft. You can explore many of these benefits on these pages, but you will not have the full benefit of membership until you join the Scrollsaw Association of the World.

Join now and become a part of this growing community!
